Everything was neatly packaged. Quality seemed good. Should come with instructions.

  2. Best Shimano Bleed Kit Ever! 5 Star Review

Posted by on 12th Jan 2016

I bought and tried Shimano's bleed kit and failed. The hose wouldn't stay attached. The syringe marked for Single Use Only which doesn't make sense. The Bleed Bicycles Kit is far superior! The syringe that can be threaded to the brake lever allows you to push mineral oil from the lever to the caliper. It worked like a charm the very first time I tried it. You guys nailed it w this kit. I bought 2 because I knew it would be the best. I stumbled upon this product via a Google search. First time buyer from this company. They even shipped the kits to via Priority Mail! I'm 55 years old and this is the first product review I've ever written. Buy it! You will not be disappointed!

  3. Shimano Bleed Kit 4 Star Review

Received the kit in record time which was nice because my rear brake was about inoperative. The items provided are of very good quality. The setup and bleeding process are fairly easy to do.........and it worked as expected with my rear brake firming up better than I expected. The only negative was the brake fluid somehow leaked about half the bottle during transit. Cap seemed tight so not sure the cause. Would have given 5 stars if not for that drawback

  4. The Product worked well for me. 4 Star Review

Posted by on 27th Jul 2015

At first I was somewhat surprised to find no instructions whatsoever packaged with my kit. However, I happened to look back at this site where I bought it and found the manual for my product easy to find under "Technical Resources". The bleed I performed seemed to repair my brakes well, first try, but I would like to warn others to do you best not to get any of the oil on the brake pads. I now have brakes that work, but also "screeeeetch!!!!!"

Bought from them because they are localish, but the kit works great. I'm mainly reviewing their customer service which is awesome!

  7. Works very well 4 Star Review

The kit is top notch and made with good quality syringes. I have used others in the past and they just do not seal and you pull more air into the syringe through the seals. I would suggest lubing up the seal on the plunger a bit just to allow it to be used a bit easier with one hand.

There are so many different ways to bleed the shimano brakes, this one allows me to be able to pull a vacuum on the line and pull the air into the syringe without flushing the fluid back and forth which I found never really gets all the micro bubbles out of the line. I do however do this after I have completed sucking the bubbles out to ensure that I have sufficient fluid in the line. The levers are now rock solid and no soft/spongy feeling in them anymore.

In addition to the bleed kit, I also received this knitted sock, which I had no clue what it was for. It dawned on me when I was cracking a beer, it was a koozy for the beer. Works a treat and when your hands are greasy and covered in slime and the bottle is moist, no risk of dropping and it helps to keep the beer a bit cooler. Although I tend not to notice this as they never seem to stay full long enough to get warm.

  8. Great kit 4 Star Review

Very fast delivery, great package with everything you need. can use the brake handle syringe without the stopper instead of getting a cup as described by the earlier reviewer. Also remember that caliper syringe can be used to pullout most(not all) of the fluid in the open "cup/syringe"on the handle before removing. Works good and will hopefully last a long time!

  9. Works as advertised 4 Star Review

Posted by on 26th Nov 2013

Purchased the kit to bleed my 2011 XTR brakes. High quality syringes and tubing. All in all, it worked well. And is more complete than the "Shimano kit" which isn't really a kit at all.

    Tips for would be buyers:
    1. Kit does not come with instructions so download the Shimano tech doc found on Shimano's site.

    2. The small syringe essentially replaces the Shimano "funnel-cup". Completely remove the smaller syringe's plunger before you screw it into the lever. You do not need it and it will only make driving the fluid to it all but impossible.

    3. Lube the larger syringe's rubber plunger with oil before you fill it up. This will make it easier to push.

    4. Be quick when removing the small syringe from the lever and replacing the lever's screw.
